Ideal Glass is FENSA registered
A FENSA certificate isn’t just a nice-to-have, it’s a need-to-have. Because the certification means you’re working with a professional company that will meet two legal requirements and provide you with an important level of protection. Most people haven’t the time, knowledge or inclination to check these three things themselves. So, what are they?
A FENSA certificate is your assurance that the installer who fitted your windows or doors has complied with Building Regulations. It also means that your installation(s) will have been registered with the Local Council. These are legal requirements and proof of them is essential when selling your home.
In addition, FENSA certificates issued after 6 June, 2014 verify that the installer’s warranty is insured. Reassuring to know if anything goes wrong, and the business gets into trouble.
So remember: you’re not just asking for a FENSA certificate. You’re asking if that window or door installer you’re thinking about using is professional, will comply with Building Regs, register your installation, and offer an insured warranty.
That’s why we say the FENSA certificate is all the proof you need of a job done right.

Exploring Hertfordshire: A Blend of History and Natural Beauty
Hertfordshire, a county in southern England, boasts a rich tapestry of historical and natural attractions. Nestled immediately to the north of London, it offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the capital city. Hertfordshire is characterized by its verdant landscapes, quaint market towns, and a plethora of historical sites that narrate tales of England's intriguing past.
One of Hertfordshire's most notable features is its abundance of stately homes and gardens. Hatfield House, a prime example, stands as a testament to Jacobean architecture. The house, built in the early 17th century, is famous for its splendid gardens and historic connections, notably being the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth I. Similarly, Knebworth House, with its gothic exterior, has become a cultural landmark, hosting various events and concerts.
The county is not just about stately homes; it is also steeped in Roman history. The city of St Albans, formerly known as Verulamium, was one of the major Roman settlements in Britain. Today, the St Albans Museum + Gallery and the nearby Roman Theatre offer fascinating insights into the area's Roman past.
Natural beauty in Hertfordshire is equally captivating. The Chiltern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, stretches into the county, offering picturesque landscapes and a haven for walkers and nature lovers. The Lee Valley Park, straddling the border of Hertfordshire and Greater London, provides a diverse range of outdoor activities from cycling to bird watching.
Hertfordshire is also known for its contributions to the world of literature and film. The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter, located in Leavesden, is a major attraction, drawing fans from across the globe. This studio provides a behind-the-scenes look at the making of one of the most successful film series in history.
The county's market towns, such as Hitchin and Hertford, are full of character, offering a blend of traditional and modern experiences. From bustling markets selling local produce to contemporary shopping and dining options, these towns provide a glimpse into both Hertfordshire's history and its present-day charm.
In conclusion, Hertfordshire presents a delightful mix of historical depth, natural beauty, and cultural richness. Whether it's exploring ancient Roman ruins, wandering through majestic estates, or enjoying the serene countryside, Hertfordshire offers something for every visitor. Its proximity to London makes it an ideal destination for those looking to experience the quieter side of English life without straying too far from the capital.
